com/thaiinfo/558427 Following the Bangkok episode, I will leave the Pattaya episode.
Pattaya is one of Thailand’s first generation beach tourist destinations, located about 1 hour and 30 minutes away from Suvarnabhumi International Airport in Bangkok, and was famous as a US military resort.
Speaking of Thailand, when you feel like going on a “beach trip”, the closest place is Pattaya, so many people usually combine Bangkok and Pattaya on a trip.
What about Pattaya? This prejudice is the biggest~“US Military Recreation Area”, “Walking Street”,“An underdeveloped and uninteresting place”, “A place you shouldn’t go with children”But, I think itdepends on how you think aboutit.
Pattaya is a nearby travel destination where you want to escape from the stuffiness of downtown Bangkok, so it is actually a very attractive place.
So, there may be a variety of reasons, such as young travelers who decide to go to enjoy entertainment (in Bangkok, they are concentrated in clubs near Nana Station and Ratchada), or simply looking for an alternative due to the geographical location near the sea, but the prices are reasonable and convenient accessibility is provided.
I think Pattaya is an attractive place any time you go.
Pattaya is very simple.
It is composed of the widely known Pattaya Beach, Jomtien Beach located to the south, and Na Jomtien Beach located further down, so it is very easy to get around even if you know the approximate location.
1.
How to get to PattayaEverything is airport standard.
It’s very simple1) Suvarnabhumi Airport 1st floor Belt Travel Service & Lung Luong BusTraveling by Belt Travel Service bus is a little more expensive than the Long Luong bus.
Belt Travel Service goes to North Pattaya Bus Terminal and takes you to your accommodation in Pattaya by minivan.
Although the time is not direct, you can still travel relatively cheaply, and you can make reservations through the website, which has the advantage of being convenient.
The Runluong bus is cheaper than the Belt Travel service.
Use the Jomtien Beach Bus Terminal.
So, after getting off at the last stop at Jomtien Beach Bus Terminal, you must take your own songthaew or taxi to go to your accommodation.
2) Taxi service on the first floor of the airportDirect travel is expensive, but it is convenient.
However, you must use cash.
3) Taecho Club pick-up service – available only to those with accommodation reservationsYou have to pay a little more than a taxi service, but you can choose a car or van.
You can use it by paying in advance in Korea.
If you go to the meeting point at the arrival hall on the 2nd floor, you can meet the pick-up driver and go directly to the parking lot.
4) Use of other pickup companiesPlease note that using the pick-up service from your accommodation is the most expensive.
You can just use the pick-up and transfer service in the most comfortable way, or there are local companies, so it would be a good idea to search through various methods and apply for a reservation in the method you want.
2.
Which accommodation will you go to?First of all, it would be good to understand the geography of Pattaya.
Simply dividing Pattaya into north, south, east, west and beaches based on the dolphin statue makes it really easy to get a sense of the geography.
Sukhumvit Road– The biggest road off the highway and the main road to Jomtien Beach, Rayong, etc.
Pattaya Naklua Road– round tripNorth Pattaya Road– Round trip (From Dolphin Statue to North Pattaya Bus Terminal ex: Tesco Lotus, Bus Terminal)Pattaya Beach Road– One-way (direction along the beach line from the Dolphin Statue to the entrance to Walking Street)Pattaya 2nd Road– One-way (one-way direction going north from South Pattaya Road to the Dolphin Statue)Central Pattaya Road– Round trip (Pattaya mid-waist direction, ex: Dang Dam, Big C Extra)Pattaya South Road– Round trip (from the intersection near Walking Street towards Wat Chai Mongkhon Temple)Buyakao Road– round trip (separate line inside 2nd Road ex: night market and some entertainment districts)Walking Street– High-density entertainment area (if you are with children, do not visit even if you are curious!!)Although I always mention it repeatedly, the formula“cost-effectiveness = money”is an.
And you shouldn’t keep comparing prices with pre-corona prices.
In addition, please ask “Please recommend accommodations” and add additional information.
If you ask , “Please recommend a place that is close to major commercial areas such as beach access, massage/good restaurants, comfortable rooms, and delicious breakfast,”just raise your one-night budget to the maximum and everything will be taken care of!!It’s not easy to find a place that has all of these things for less than 100,000 won!!April to October rainy season = off-seasonNovember to March, Songkran (mid-April) dry season = peak season12/23~1/5 Dry season = Highest peak season = Even though it is expensive, it is too expensive and there are mandatory regulations such as mandatory lodging and mandatory gala dinner.
Separately: Fully booked for popular accommodations during Korean Myeongcheol, vacation season, and vacation season~~~ It works well.
You can save on accommodation costs just by being aware of the above period!!Accommodation with children – If you are looking for accommodation with slidesCentara Grand Mirage, Grande Centerpoint Space, Amari, Holiday Inn, Grande Centerpoint Pattaya, Ozonotsu,Mercure Pattaya Ocean Resort, Hard Rock, Discovery, Somerset Pattaya, Siam Bay Shore Resort, Mercure Pattaya HotelIt’s a good idea to look at Pattaya from here.
Be sure to check Google Maps for the location!!New~~~ From Space to cost-effective Discovery~You can choose accommodation according to your budget.
If you are traveling with children, especially up to elementary school age, slides are required rather than optional.
There is a difference between places with slides and places without.
If you prefer a large place, go to Centara Grand Mirage, and Space has a good location, but the slide here has a lot of acceleration, so you may fall backwards at the landing point and get hurt, so it’s a good idea to consider this a little.
.

Somerset Pattaya- New hotel with great location opposite HiltonPattaya ResidenceIf you are traveling with family (children, parents, etc.
) and are unable to adapt to the local cuisine, or are concerned about the pressure or worry of baby food due to children being too young, it would be a good idea to go to a residence accommodation with a kitchen facility.
Woodlands Suites Serviced Residence– Located right next to Woodlands.
Although it is old due to its age, it is well maintained.
The residence offers on-demand breakfast + semi-buffet, breakfast is compatible with Woodland Resort, the resort swimming pool is shared with a residence-only key (there is a separate entrance), and the surrounding commercial area is well formed.
Altera Hotel and Residence (formerly At Mind Service Residence)– A good value residence.
The swimming pool is a little small, but you can walk to Central Marana and Big C, and it’s easy to use whether you’re in North Pattaya or Sentan, and you can cook, so it’s good for families.

There is a golf course nearby, and Khao Ki Fox Open Week is also located 30 minutes away.

Hotel J Residence Pattaya (formerly Trio Hotel Pattaya) –a bit far from downtown Pattaya.
It is close to Pattaya North Terminal and you can reach Tesco Lotus on foot.
The facilities are decent and clean.
Jomtien BeachYou should expand Jomtien Beach to Na Jomtien Beach, but it is quieter than the busy area of Pattaya Beach.
However, it is a bit far from downtown Pattaya, so when using Songthaew, you have to pay 10 baht for 1 section in Pattaya, and 20 baht for 2 sections in Jomtien Beach because it passes through 2 beaches to get to Pattaya Sentan and Dolphin Statue.
It works.
Ana Anan Resort & Villas Pattaya– A new resort with the latest in rooms, facilities, environment, and design.

Ravindra Resort & Spa– Older but renovated and beach-connected, cost-effective accommodation.
The downside is that it is far from downtown Pattaya.
(This is my couple’s first accommodation in Thailand, so it’s a place we love.
It’s far away, but it’s easy to access the beach, and it really feels like Thailand and is great for relaxation.
