Welcome to the Marriott Resort in Hua Hin! Our main purpose for choosing this resort was to enjoy the swimming pool. We made a reservation for a Superior Room using our accommodation voucher and hoped to be assigned a room with convenient access to the pool.
Upon arrival at the Marriott Resort, we were grateful to be upgraded to a room with a sea view. Although the room was classified as a Superior Room, we later discovered that the lower floors of the main building (highlighted in red on the resort map) are Superior Rooms, while the higher floors are Sea View Rooms. Additionally, the ground floor of buildings 15 and 16 (highlighted in yellow) are Pool Access Rooms, while the upper floors are Superior Rooms. The green building on the right side of the resort map is where the Pool Terrace is located, along with the higher-rated suite rooms.
We were allocated a Deluxe Sea View Room on one of the higher floors of the main building, offering a good view but at a distance from the pool, beach, and breakfast area. Nevertheless, for those guests who have more external activities planned, this room would be convenient.
The room itself was spacious, clean, and featured a comfortable bed. The terrace provided a pleasant view, although the swimming pool seemed quite far away.
Considering the pool’s distance, we approached the front desk to inquire about changing our room. We were fortunate to be able to move to a Pool Access Room. The size and layout of the new room were similar to the Sea View Room, and there was no feeling of dampness. We also had an additional child’s bed, which accommodated a child up to 170cm in height. The king-sized bed was spacious, and the sofa in the room was also large.
The highlight of the Pool Access Room was the pool located right in front of the terrace. Despite incurring additional charges, changing rooms turned out to be a wise decision as it allowed us to enjoy unlimited pool time with our child. While I understand that booking through Taechoc Club would have allowed us to have a Pool Access Room from the start, along with Let’s Relax massage promotions, the process of changing rooms was a bit inconvenient.
To save ourselves the trouble of going outside, we ordered room service, which exceeded our expectations in terms of taste. We are eagerly looking forward to the breakfast the next day.
We hope this recap of our experience at the Marriott Resort in Hua Hin helps future travelers in making their accommodation decisions.
