Today, I had an exciting adventure to Muengboran. I took a taxi and got off at Bolt Boraan, which is located at 282 (with an additional 50 on the highway). Taking the subway only costs 59 baht per person, which is quite reasonable for the journey. However, when I tried to come back in the afternoon, it was difficult to catch a taxi as it was a busy time. Eventually, I managed to negotiate with an SUV taxi driver and paid 550 baht to return to Siam Big C. Although the price was twice as much as the previous journey, it was worth it since the car was spacious, and the toll fees were covered by the driver.
At Muengboran, I had an exhilarating ride on a golf cart. Due to the heat and limited time, I didn’t have the chance to take many photos. But I managed to capture some moments at certain points within an hour. It was quite fun!
After shopping for a while at Big C, it suddenly started pouring rain. I took shelter in a nearby shopping mall and ended up having lunch at Mercury. I used to wait for a long time at Terminal 21 in the past, but this time it was surprisingly empty. I guess we arrived before the evening rush. Despite being only four women, we ordered quite a lot of food. It was so delicious that we didn’t leave anything behind, even added extra rice!
It was still pouring when we finished eating. Although it was a bit far and inconvenient to take a taxi, I couldn’t find any available ones. Everyone’s raincoats were already soaked, so we walked along Langsuann Road and got completely soaked by the rain.
Finally, we arrived at New Don Village. I wish I had known about this place earlier. The unique and beautiful building I saw from the window turned out to be the Campinsky. Sadly, there were no more seats available for dining, so we settled for a massage nearby and reluctantly returned to the hotel. I can’t believe we’re leaving tomorrow. I want to stay a bit longer and continue enjoying my vacation.

If you’re staying at this accommodation, there are several nearby tourist attractions that I would highly recommend exploring. One such attraction is Muengboran, which offers a fascinating journey through Thailand’s history. You can reach Muengboran by taking the subway, which is a reasonably priced option at 59 baht per person. However, do keep in mind that during busy times, it may be challenging to catch a taxi for your return journey. If you do opt for a taxi, negotiating with the driver for a fair price, like the 550 baht paid in this case, can be worth it for the comfort and convenience.
Once you’re at Muengboran, I suggest taking a ride on one of their golf carts to explore the area. While time may be limited, the experience is known to be exhilarating. Although you may not have ample time for photography, try to capture a few memorable moments during your visit.
After your excursion at Muengboran, you could consider visiting Siam Big C for some shopping. However, be prepared for unexpected weather changes, like the sudden rain mentioned in the review. If you find yourself caught in the rain, seeking shelter in a nearby shopping mall can provide a welcome respite. In this case, the reviewer ended up having a delicious lunch at Mercury. It’s worth noting that Terminal 21, a popular shopping destination, may be less crowded earlier in the day, making it a good time to explore and enjoy a meal.
If you’re looking for a unique dining experience, I recommend visiting Campinsky at New Don Village. The elegant and beautiful building that caught the reviewer’s attention is located here. However, reservations may be necessary as seating availability can be limited. In case you are unable to secure a spot at Campinsky, consider indulging in a relaxing massage nearby before reluctantly returning to your hotel.
Keep in mind that these suggestions are based on the experiences shared in the review. While these attractions can provide enjoyable experiences, it’s always wise to check for updated information, opening hours, and availability before visiting. Enjoy your stay and make the most of your vacation!
