The suite I stayed in had two bedrooms, with carpeted flooring in the rooms and hardwood flooring in the living room and kitchen. The spaciousness of the suite was highly enjoyable. However, due to the construction work and associated odors coming from the neighboring room, I requested a room change after the first night. The second room I was given had a few minor issues, such as a few ants and thin-legged insects with pincers, which I believe could be resolved through pest control efforts.
The host was very responsive and apologetic, as they provided a fruit basket and a letter expressing their apologies for the inconvenience. During my stay, I only had the opportunity to eat the apples and oranges from the fruit basket, due to my own oversight.
Conveniently, there is a Seven-Eleven just a short stroll away, as well as a Starbucks within walking distance. As the accommodation is situated near the end of the road, I was able to walk to KFC as well. The weather during my stay was surprisingly cool and refreshing, providing a welcome change from the hotter climate I am accustomed to in Korea.
I stayed from July 25th to July 28th, and it rained once every day. Traffic was quite heavy, and I had to change my plans from visiting Terminal 21 to CentralWorld due to unforeseen circumstances. However, the delivery service was impressively fast, and the food I received on the 1st floor was delicious.
I was pleased to find a small laundry detergent at the Seven-Eleven, which allowed me to use the washing machine inside the room. The air conditioning was effective, so I could afford to turn it off at night. Although it was a bit tiring to go out and about, as it feels like time flies when exploring the area, the spaciousness of the suite made me wish I could live there.
Next time, I am considering booking a hotel attached to Terminal 21 or even a hotel with a view of a temple at dawn. If I had known in advance that my husband wouldn’t be able to join me, I would have opted for a smaller space. Therefore, I highly recommend this suite for families with older children and four family members. However, I must note that it may not be ideal for those with young children due to heavy traffic, which made it difficult for them to remain comfortable and content in the car.
Note: The conversion rate used for the accommodations cost is 1 USD = 1,173 KRW.
For tourists staying at this accommodation, there are several nearby tourist attractions and activities that I would recommend exploring during your stay. Firstly, given the convenient location of a Seven-Eleven and Starbucks within walking distance, you can start your day off with a refreshing coffee and grab some snacks for your adventures ahead.
One of the must-visit attractions in the area is Terminal 21, a popular shopping mall that offers a unique experience with its themed floors representing different cities around the world. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, you were unable to visit Terminal 21 on this trip. However, I highly recommend keeping it on your list for your next visit.
Another attraction worth mentioning is CentralWorld, a vast shopping complex located nearby. With a variety of shops, restaurants, and entertainment options, it provides a vibrant and lively atmosphere that is perfect for experiencing the local culture and indulging in some retail therapy.
While exploring the area, you may also consider visiting a temple at dawn to witness its serene beauty and experience the spiritual side of the city. There are several temples in the vicinity that offer incredible views and tranquil surroundings, providing a peaceful escape from the bustling city life. However, it is important to note that you may need to stay at a hotel with a view of a temple to fully enjoy this experience.
Additionally, you mentioned the fast delivery service and delicious food on the 1st floor, which shows the culinary delights available in the area. I recommend trying out local street food stalls and restaurants to immerse yourself in the vibrant flavors of Thai cuisine. From aromatic curries to delectable street snacks, Bangkok offers a wide range of culinary experiences that are sure to satisfy your taste buds.
Lastly, if you are a fan of fast food, KFC is within walking distance from your accommodation. While it may not be the most adventurous dining option, it can provide a familiar taste for those seeking a quick and convenient meal.
Overall, despite the challenges you faced with heavy traffic and unforeseen circumstances, there are plenty of attractions and activities that can be enjoyed near your accommodation. Make sure to plan your next visit to include Terminal 21, a visit to a temple at dawn, indulge in the local cuisine, and explore the vibrant shopping scene at CentralWorld.
