Upon my arrival in Bangkok, I promptly made my way to the highly anticipated Anantara Resort. Although there weren’t many reviews available online, and opinions varied, I couldn’t resist the allure of this place, especially as it caters to those with a penchant for traditional Thai cuisine.
As I followed the winding road, I eventually reached our chosen room. Opening the door, I was greeted with a sight that perfectly represented the Anantara style. Although there were few pictures of twin beds, my concern about sharing a bed with a child was quickly alleviated as it turned out to be a feasible option.
In the room, I noticed a small note on a leaf mentioning the weather forecast for the next day, which I found amusing. Alongside the beds, there was a table, and on the other side, a mini-bar which I discovered was not included in the room price.
The bathroom had a rustic feel with wooden accents, staying true to the Anantara style. To my delight, there was a blue bath bomb on the bottom right, priced at 180 THB, which my daughter thoroughly enjoyed using for her own relaxation.
I must note that the floor can get slightly slippery when wet, so the presence of a necessary floor mat was appreciated. The terrace featured a ceiling fan, which added to the overall pleasant experience. Lastly, I couldn’t resist taking a snapshot of the picturesque scene from the terrace, surrounded by nature’s beauty.
Being immersed in the sounds of flowing water and chirping birds allowed for a truly rejuvenating experience. This resort truly embodies the essence of a healing retreat, where one can awaken to the soothing melodies of nature.
