This will be my fourth trip to Thailand, but unfortunately, Asiana Airlines does not have a route to Phuket until June. As a result, I have decided to go to Pattaya instead.
Suvarnabhumi Airport is much larger than I expected. I was surprised when I saw it. Once I find my luggage, I will go to buy a SIM card.
Is it cheaper to buy a SIM card in Korea? My family is a bit lazy, and we prefer it when someone at the airport takes care of it for us. However, they didn’t give us the pin to replace the SIM card. As a result, my earring got stuck during the return flight. Please make sure to provide the pin when you replace it!
Our accommodation is at Hard Rock. We were torn between Central Mirage and Hard Rock, but Central Mirage is a bit further north. The staff at Hard Rock are really friendly. I’m satisfied with my experience at Hard Rock this time. However, the room is small and our room doesn’t have a balcony. It seems that the City View rooms have more balconies, so we couldn’t hang our swimsuits. Also, I realized that iron is essential for each room, just like a coffee pot or hair dryer. But they don’t have it. I didn’t want to wear wrinkled clothes… it’s my mistake.
I expected the beachfront hotel to have a self-laundry room, but unfortunately they don’t. The breakfast was just okay, not great.
One of the attractions in Pattaya is Terminal 21, which is well maintained. Hard Rock has a swimming pool that is great for younger children, although my child is older and didn’t use it. I think young kids would really enjoy it.
The gym is small. Honestly, not many people use the gym while traveling, right? If you go, they provide water and towels.
There is also a place called “Stairway to Heaven”, but I didn’t get a chance to use it.
I wonder why they insist on forcing my son to ride the jet ski when he doesn’t want to. If he wants to ride, he can do it on his own…
For those who live in Thailand or know it well, my husband and I always eat this when we go to Thailand. We have it two or three times a day. It’s refreshing and sweet, and it’s guava. Is there something added to the guava to give it a sweet taste? It tastes different from just eating guava. Please let me know more about this fruit.
The pool at the hotel is clean as they take care of it every morning. However, they don’t provide tubes. They have these cardboard-like boards, which are about 200 Baht to rent.
I thought there would naturally be tubes available… I guess I’m just greedy.
I came to Bangkok for a few hours as my flight back home is in the early morning. I asked the taxi driver to take me to a place where I could have dinner, but he took me here instead. I guess I’m going shopping. This was the most delicious thing I tried on this trip. It was my first time having it. Is this som tum? I want to have it again.
When leaving Suvarnabhumi, I went through the fast antigen test at gates 7-8 on the first floor. It costs 250 Baht, and only cash is accepted.
I had a wonderful trip thanks to TaeCheo Cafe, who provided me with helpful information about the hotel, pickups, and various things. Thank you so much. My next trip will also be in Thailand. Will I meet some of you there? May you all be happy!
Based on your stay at Hard Rock in Pattaya, there are several nearby tourist attractions and activities that I would recommend for you to explore during your trip.
One of the must-visit attractions in Pattaya is Terminal 21, a well-maintained shopping mall that offers a unique experience, with each floor representing a different city from around the world. It’s a great place for shopping, dining, and having a fun day out.
If you’re traveling with younger children, you mentioned that the swimming pool at Hard Rock is great for them. While your child may not have used it, it’s worth noting that younger kids would really enjoy it. The hotel also provides water and towels for anyone who uses the gym, so it’s a nice option if you want to stay active during your trip.
Another attraction in the area is the “Stairway to Heaven.” Although you didn’t get a chance to use it, it might be worth exploring if you have the opportunity. You didn’t provide much information about it, but it could be a unique experience that offers panoramic views of the city or a different perspective of the area.
Considering your love for guava, I would suggest exploring local markets and fruit stands to try more Thai fruits and discover the variety of flavors they offer. While guava is known for its refreshing taste, there might be some variations or additional ingredients used in Thailand that give it a sweeter flavor. Exploring local fruits can be an adventure on its own.
Additionally, since you mentioned being in Bangkok for a few hours on your way back home, I would recommend exploring some of the city’s famous attractions, such as the Grand Palace, Wat Arun, or Wat Phra Kaew. These iconic landmarks showcase Thailand’s rich cultural heritage and are worth visiting if you have the time.
To conclude, Pattaya offers a range of attractions and activities for tourists. From exploring unique shopping experiences to indulging in local fruits and sights in Bangkok, there are many opportunities to make the most of your trip. Enjoy your stay at Hard Rock and have a wonderful time exploring the fascinating surroundings!
