A 5-night, 7-day trip to Pattaya with my elderly mother and younger siblings who were new to Thailand.
Even though there’s nothing special, I still feel like writing a review.
The article keeps getting longer.
^^Even if it’s just a small tip, I feel like it was helpful and I want to give it back.
Today, I would like to finish by talking about the things I ate during the trip, the massage, and the tour.
First, the weather! It was the best trip to Thailand I’ve ever had.
^^I usually go on summer vacation during the rainy season, and this is the first time that there hasn’t been a squall.
And, as many of you may have already felt, it was definitely less hot than Seoul.
Mom does have the energy of a weather fairy.
Haha.
Avani and InterContinental,While staying at the two hotels, I made two reservations in advance: a yacht tour and Grace Spa.
I went to restaurants and local massages whenever I could, and went to Nong Nooch Village by purchasing tickets the day before.
1.
Food*Masireon This place is known to many people as Pattaya Kimbab Heaven.
Haha.
After checking in on the first day, we went looking around the neighborhood.
As it was my first meal, I ordered everything.
(But, I wonder why I skipped the som tam ;;; haha) In addition to this, I ate a variety of dishes including Tom Yum Goong, Pad Thai, and Fish Ball Noodle.
My younger siblings, who were new to Thai food, said they were all delicious, and my mom enjoyed the Pad Khao Moo Sap the best.
I think it was just average for my wife and I.
Rather, the drinks were delicious.
The mango smoothie was very rich.
*Puppet Seafood It wasn’t the place I originally wanted to go.
It was a bit different.
Still, I went to a seaside seafood restaurant.
(250 baht by XL taxi from Intercon)Unbelievable!!The crab was sold out.
I couldn’t eat the Poo Pad Pong curry that had whole crab in it.
It was around 7:30 in the evening, and the servers all looked exhausted, probably because there were an unusually large number of customers that day.
It was too loud and hectic.
At first, I sat on the beach side, but it was too windy and I could feel the smoke, so I moved to a seat inside.
After it got dark, I could see the sea.
It’s meaningless.
In this process, time is delayed again.
I just ordered grilled tiger shrimp to make it feel like a seafood restaurant, and luckily the fried rice and crab meat curry (it was like Poo Pat Pong curry, but with a different name) were good, so I was relieved of my disappointment.
If you order Sprite here, you get a large plastic bottle.
I was surprised haha.
Well.
the price is a bit expensive, and I don’t think the taste is worth going out of your way to visit.
For us, it was just a Thai restaurant.
Haha.
No one took pictures of the food.
I think it would be better to go a little early because you can see the sea and there are no soldouts, andthere are a lot of mosquitoes.
Take repellent with you.
*Beef Eater I heard that reservations are required, but we were able to get in right away because the timing was good.
For mains, I had pepper steak, frank steak, spicy pork ribs, and carbonara.
The portions were generous and all delicious.
I highly recommend the pepper steak and carbonara.
^^.
* Pier 21 Food CourtThe best value for money! It’s great to be able to eat in a comfortable place at a cheaper price than a local restaurant.
As expected, there were so many people that it was difficult to find an empty seat.
I ate pig’s trotter rice bowl, fried pork belly rice bowl, tom yum goong & rice set, mango rice, banana roti, coconut ice cream.
The most expensive thing is a large bowl of mango rice at 70 baht!I think I had 500 baht left over.
*^^* *Maeyai Maelek Cafe’ Thai food Restaurants.
This is a local restaurant located in the alley next to Avani Hotel.
I went because the Google rating was good.
It was very delicious for our taste.
There is another local restaurant in this alley, and I went here because it looked cleaner.
The space is small but cool indoors, and the atmosphere outside is nice.
I recommend it^^ *Avani Hotel POOL BARI had a light lunch before going to the spa and it was delicious.
Plus, the taste of eating it after dipping your feet in the pool is different.
^^.
* INTERCONTINENTAL POOL BARIt was the day I had dinnerduring happy hour.
All drinks and alcoholic beverages are 1+1, so I ordered beer, cocktails, and fresh fruit juice.
^^The cocktails were a bit strong, and the food was okay.
*BEACH EATSIt’s a small food court next to TOPS Market in the basement of Central Festival.
Like Pier 21, you order by charging your card.
I found out because I ended up buying cut mangoes and durians at the supermarket and eating them.
There isn’t a lot of variety, but I think it’s good for a quick meal.
*I didn’t eat as much street food as I thought.
Everyone in my family is a morning person, so after eating a hearty breakfast, we were always full.
heheAnd, actually, my mom doesn’t eat street food very much.
She says it’s unpleasant.
;;;Traveling is a lot of fun.
So, every time we eat, they make us wait on the street while it’s hot.
that’s what happened.
Banana roti and mango smoothie eaten near the hotel,Passion fruit juice and crocodile meat skewers at Jomtien Night Market (out of my brother’s curiosity.
haha)Chatramu Tahiti is everything in Terminal 21.
We all bought one, shared it, tasted it, and finished it.
Chhatramuthaithi.
It’s a franchise, but it’s delicious!Tahiti is sold a lot like mixed coffee in Korea, and the chatramuti my younger siblings bought at the supermarket was a leaf tea.
;;It’s a bit cumbersome to eat at home, but it’s delicious ^^***The lunch included in the yacht tour and Nong Nooch Village was a Thai food buffet.
I can say that I ate Thai food almost throughout the itinerary.
Fortunately, the whole family ate it well, and the most encouraging thing was that my mom finally learned the true taste of tom yum goong.
^^I was very proud to find it at the Beach Eats food court, which was my last meal.
2.
MassageThere were a total of three places we used on this trip.
Grace Spa, Ranlaya massage, Joy massage.
* I made a reservation atGrace Spadirectly through KakaoTalk after contacting them on Google’s homepage.
It was easy to make because the owner is Korean.
The reservation deposit is 1,000 baht per person, and the rest is to be paid on site.
It was a good family trip, so I went to this place because I wanted to give it a try.
It was convenient because it was picked up and dropped off, and the atmosphere was nice because two people could receive it in a private house.
however.
Massage satisfaction is soso.
Oil massage is better than Thai massage.
*Ranlaya health massageis located across the street from the main entrance of Avani Hotel.
I had this place on my list because it had good Google ratings and was close.
Bright and clean atmosphere.
I went there on the first day and got a foot massage and it was so good that I went the next day and got a Thai massage.
The Thai massage was better^^ I recommend it.
(Foot massage 250 baht for 1 hour, Thai massage 300 baht for 1 hour).
*I went to Joy Massagebecause I remembered something I had saved while playing at the Central Festival.
Haha, I would have been disappointed if I hadn’t gone.
I really liked it here!!!I thought it was small and shabby even among locals, but ah.
They seemed like hidden experts.
Haha.
I went there twice.
At first, we just started laughing and talking, so I didn’t like it.
I wondered what I should say if they kept chatting, but wow, it was so nice that every time I touched it, it felt like it was an acupuncture point.
The price is good too.
Thai massage 200 baht for 1 hour.
Even including tip, it’s literally 10,000 won worth of happiness.
^^ Price: Grace >>>>Ranlaya >JoySatisfaction: Joy > Ranlaya >>>GraceIt will be like this.
Hahaha 3.
Nong Nooch VillageNong Nooch Village, which many people recommended for sightseeing,We also went there.
I was thinking of going on a half-day tour that included other places, but I just bought a ticket the day before and took a taxi to just go here.
There is a lot of information about what kind of place it is, so I will skip the introduction.
There are many types of tickets.
You can buy a combination of admission tickets, shows, tour buses, lunch, etc.
We made it all inclusive and added VIP seating for the show.
910 baht per person, approximately 36,000 won.
I took an XL taxi from Intercon for about 25 minutes and it cost 430 baht.
There is a booth for online buyers to the far left of the enormous ticket box.
If you show the voucher saved on your phone, they will give you something special.
You must scan this ticket each time you enter and keep it with you.
It even lists the performance hall seat numbers and lunch time.
The yellow bus ticket is given to the driver when you get off at the last stop.
There are two or three photo zone stops.
You get off, take pictures, play, ride in the back car, and get off again to take a look.
It’s like this.
You can re-ride in the middle, but you cannot re-ride once you get to the end.
Without knowing this, the first time I rode it, I thought I would just get off once, take a picture, watch the show, and then ride again, but that didn’t happen.
I just took a bus ride and looked around.
The bus driver also gives explanations, but it is in Thai.
^^;;After watching the performance in the cool large theater, we move to the side and continue watching the elephant show.
I thought the show time was 3 episodes, but it was increased to 4 episodes.
10:30, 11:30, 13:30, 15:00Perhaps because we saw it at the new 11:30 time, there weren’t many people.
The performance was a folk show, but suddenly a cabaret show appeared, so I was a little confused.
It feels like a summary of the Siam Niramit Show + Alcazar Show.
Haha.
The elephant show was longer than expected and quite fun.
It’s worth a visit as long as you can tolerate the blatant request for a tip.
Don’t sit in the front seat.
The included meal is a Thai buffet, but instead of me preparing it, the staff puts it on a plate at each corner, like in a cafeteria.
There isn’t a lot of variety, but it tastes better than I expected, perhaps because it’s not served in pre-opened dishes.
^^ There was also bottled water.
Give.
The outdoor seating looked nice, but it was too hot so we went indoors.
After eating, I stopped by the observatory (or should I say, the second floor haha) cafe and looked around a bit more before returning.
I don’t think there are many people like us who go around like us.
It’s definitely crowded, but it’s free wherever you go.
Nong Nooch Village is so big that it feels overwhelming.
The same scenery was repeated a lot, and to me, it felt like the concepts were all mixed up, so I was like wow, what is this? There seemed to be no limit to how much I could see in detail, and I felt like I would get tired of it before I even tried, and it was too hot because the sun was shining.
;;Be sure to take the tour bus.
Otherwise, you’ll end up just seeing the entrance.
Mom kept asking, ‘How much money does the owner here have?Is she still alive?’It’ll be good for the children.
‘ etc.
He is more interested in ash than the scenery.
^^;It’s okay to just go there once, but I think it would be better to allocate your time well, do some research in advance, and only go to the points you want to see.
4.
Serenity Yacht TourTo conclude, it was the biggest trial and error of this trip.
I should have listened to the early members.
I paid expensive tuition.
110,000 won per person.
I didn’t even think about it at first, but my mom was able to sign up for travel insurance until this year (79 years old).
