Shangri-La vs Chatrium Grand

This is a very personal opinion, and each hotel has different characteristics, so I wonder if it is meaningful to make such a simple comparison, but I am writing this in the hope that it may be helpful to someone.

Before starting,Me: A slightly picky woman in her 40s,I don’t hold back on things that are uncomfortable and I talk about them all.

Daughter: Mudunhan Cho 6,Still, I know it’s luxurious because I’ve traveled a bit.

1.

Room conditionI wonder if this has any meaning.

Comparing new and old hotels.

My daughter and I are both Chatrium winners.

However, even though it was old, Shangri-La was kept in excellent cleaning condition.

There wasn’t a speck of dust on the black table.

However, the smell of carpets showing signs of age cannot be avoided.

Chatrium will become like that as time goes by.

And I think Chatrium has a problem with the design of its air conditioning facilities.

The sound of the fan spinning is a bit loud.

2.

ViewMy daughter and I both stay at Shangri-La in Riverview.

As you may have seen in previous reviews of Chatrium, the curtains cannot be opened in the room I stayed in.

When I looked up from the pool, there wasn’t a single room along that line with its curtains open.

3.

KindnessThis is a bit ambiguous.

Both hotels are friendly.

However, I felt Shangri-La’s friendliness was more comfortable.

It’s my personal preference, but I like hotels with a lot of older staff.

Staying with the hotel for a long time.

When I look at such people, there is something like neatness and elegance that naturally radiates from their bodies without any effort.

I like that feeling, so I lean more toward Shangri-La.

Maybe it’s because I’m old~^^4.

Service response speedShangri-La wins.

Chatrium still feels a bit lacking.

For example, when I stayed at Shangri-La, water was leaking in the shower booth, so I asked to have it checked, and they came right away and took care of it.

Even when I go to the pool, I ask for my room to be cleaned, and when I leave, it’s already cleaned even after playing for about two hours.

Chatrium calls to request cleaning when leaving, but even after swimming, it is not cleaned.

Even if you ask for a towel to be brought quickly, it takes some time.

However, it is common for rooms to not be cleaned on the day of check-out, but when I went to the pool, the room was cleaned.

Although I applied for a late check-out, this was the first time that they cleaned the room even on the day of check-out.

Chatrium’s service is good, but I think they need to add more staff.

5.

BreakfastMe: Similar.

However, the bread for meals at Shangri-La is a bit more delicious.

Daughter: Shangri-La wins.

The rice noodles are better, hash browns are served every day, there is mango, and there is ice cream, which is nice.

6.

Swimming poolMy daughter and I both won Chatrium.

I couldn’t see the riverside view while swimming and the noise of boats going by was noisy, so I preferred the quieter and larger Chatrium swimming pool.

7.

Surrounding infrastructureShangri-La is a little better.

It’s the difference between having everything as soon as you go out the front door of the hotel and having everything until you go to the end of the alley.

Shangri-La has a wider variety of restaurants and massages.

8.

TransportationShangri-La wins.

I don’t need to explain this to you, but you probably know it.

Chatrium is close to Siam Station and Grab is good, so it’s not bad, but you can’t beat Shangri-La, which even has a boat dock.

^^When I write it this way, I think Shangri-La is better.

My daughter likes the Chatrium Grand better.

I would like to advise you to try both hotels.

(For those who care about room conditions, Chatrium is better.

)If this is the case, why did you compare the two?🤣And next time I go to a hotel near the river.

I want to go to the Peninsula!!.
